Artifacts

Throughout this ICE 234 course, I have had the opportunity to work with all sorts of neat programs. Here are just a few of the programs I have been able to work with during this semester. I can only hope to be able to use a lot of these technologies in my future classroom.

This is the art presentation I made using Microsoft PowerPoint. I've always enjoyed making a nice PowerPoint presentation. But I learned that making the slides too cumbersome can really take away from the purpose of the presentation. And as teachers, I realize that it's so important to keep these PowerPoint presentations/lectures in check. To its credit, I think Microsoft PowerPoint might be one the easiest technological programs to incorporate into the classroom because it can be used in such a variety of ways. Which I believe, makes it so special.

Inspiration was probably one of my favorite programs to use this semester. My Inspiration web shows just how versatile and useful technology in the classroom can be. One thing I really like about Inspiration is that it allows the teacher to present and relate ideas in a visual way. It's quite easy to get carried away and get really creative with your webs.

Photostory is another great tool which in this case, I used to make my digital storybook. I never realized how awesome this program is. It's one I never really used much, but after making my storybook, I'm hooked! It's an added opportunity to present a lesson in an unconventional way. Photostory can serve so many purposes. It can be presented, like I have, as a book. It can very well be transformed into slides. And with the ability to add music clips to the video, you can definitely have a lot of fun with it.
